Dan and I wanted to see if we could do some Chromakeying and the results were not half bad for our first attempt. All and all the project cost about $21 with some way to powerful lights from home depot comblined with other things I had around the apt.

We lit the screen as evenly as possible using 2 smaller lamps with 60 Watt “White Light” Light bulbs from Home Depot. To light the rest of the scene we had our 500 Watt work like that we removed the safety grill from(Not our brightest idea). This removed the shadows that it cast but it was far to bright and we had nothing white to bounce the light off of that was close enough so we put some paper in front of the light (yes… very un-smart) and it acted as a diffuser.

After that we were all set and filmed which was pretty stright forward. In editing we used the very easy to use Keying plugin in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and we were done. We had to set the tollerence a little high to key out the green but in the end it worked very well. The only places that really had problems were the fringers when they were spread out on the sides. Other than that it was good to go.
