I filmed this in New Smyrna Beach FL. The shuttle launches never fail to amaze me. If you have the chance to see one of these in person I highly recommend it before the shuttle program comes to a close. The following photos were taken by Jenny Pettman

Is the Holiday Inn on New Smyrna a good place to watch launch? We will be flying in the morning of the next launch and wonder if we should go to hotel or somewhere along the way from Orlando airport. Thanks

How far south down the beach can I walk from New Smyrna? We will be there July 11, 2009 I’d like to get my boys as close as I can without going all the way down to KSC. Great video! Thanks!!!
If you are any where on that beach you will see it. This was shot from JB’s fish camp area (Not to be confused with PJs fish camp which is on the same road). I recommend it as there is great food after the launch :) Surf and Turf :)
